The Chairman, Oyo State Park Managers System, (PMS) Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi also known as Auxiliary has admonished members of the system across the state to embrace peace and cooperate with the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde in order to complement his peace agenda in the state.
Alhaji Lamidi gave the admonition at the first Ramadan Lecture organised by the system and held at the New Garage, Ibadan on Saturday.
In his address, Alhaji Lamidi urged members of the system, especially commercial drivers to seek peace with members of the public who board their vehicles in order to promote and complement the peace agenda of the amiable governor of the state.
According to him, the era of terror among members of the system has gone, adding that they are now new people with the intention to make peace reign supreme across the state.
“I urge you our members and commercial drivers of our great system to seek after peace in order to promote and complement the peace agenda of our amiable governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
“The era of fomenting trouble at parks has gone, we are now a new people.
“So, I want you all to cooperate and live in peace among other members of the state.”
The PMS Chairman while commending governor Seyi Makinde for his stride in about two years in governance, thanked him for creating an enabling environment to hold the Ramadan Lecture.
He said, “I want to assure you that the wonderful governor will emerge victorious for a second term in office with his intimidating track records across the state.
“I want to also assure you that you will enjoy and reap the goodness of his administration by the grace of God.”
In his lecture, titled, Peace and Harmony, at the well-attended programme, the guest lecturer, Sheik Mahmoun Tijani Eleshimeta, who is also the Chief Imam of IAR&T, Ibadan, told Alhaji Lamidi to always appreciate God for restoring him back to glory after the horrible experience he had been through in life.
“Almighty Allah has very good reasons to have allowed you go through those horrible experiences before restoring you back to glory and honour. God purposefully brought back to work with governor Makinde to achieve a progressive and peaceful Oyo State.”
Sheik Eleshinmeta then urged Auxiliary to operate with wisdom, patience and high level of diplomacy in order to achieve the objectives of the governor and to reign as a great leader.
He also commended him for his high sense of leadership since he was appointed chairman of the park manager system in the state.
The programme had in attendance the state Deputy Speaker of the stre House of Assembly, Honourable Mohammed Fadeyi, Alhaji Mutiu Oladejo (Onimalu), Asiwaju Adini of Yoruba land, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, top government functionaries and many others.
