Recession: 50 Families Fed in Akure by NGO


A United Kingdom (UK) based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), known as Inspiring Working Women (IWW) has, at the weekend distributed and fed over fifty families with various brands of Noodles in Akure, the ondo state capital.

Speaking with Westernpost correspondent at the carnival- liked event along Federal University Of Technology Akure (FUTA) road,  the focal officer of the organisation, Miss Uloma Mella, said, the rationale behind the distribution was to feed the hungry- challenged homes and to assist the women even with cash and get them connected in achieving their desire aims.

According to Uloma, ” we understand that the society is faced with challenges mostly families with inability to feed even once a day, IWW is determined to fight poverty to a stand still”.

One of the beneficiaries, who could not hide her joy and feelings  Mrs Famese, expressed her gratitude to the initiator of the program, saying it will bring smiles to the faces of many families.

Families were seeing  jubilating with various dancing steps showing their gratitudes to the initiator and organisers.The organisation was founded by Dr. Omon Ejere- lmohi, who also based in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Other personalities at the event included: Adefunke Ogunmuyiwa Olabitan, Olatide Abiola, Aanuoluwapo Olukayode and Demiladeola.
