The chairman, Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) ,Oyo State Branch, Comrade Akinbola Idowu has urged Muslim faithfuls in Oyo state, Nigeria and all over the world to reflect on the lessons and messages of Eid-el-Kabir celebration which is popularly known in Yoruba as “Odun Ileya”.
While admonishing them to imbibe the great lessons of this festival which include humility, goodness, mutual understanding and love, he further urged them to reflect on the teachings of Eid-el-Adha which centers on keeping faith with God and having total submission to His will.
Akinbola whilie calling on muslim faithfuls to remember the words of Allah which harps on piety said it is not the meat nor the blood of the animals slaughtered that is so important but the lessons there in.
He also used the opportunity to advocate that all Medical Laboratory Scientists in the state should use this period of festivities to show commitment, discipline, obedience and love of Allah to others and extend same to their neighbors; irrespective of social, ethnic, political and religious differences.
He then prayed for peace and progress for members of the association, wishing them more peaceful celebrations many more Eid Eil-Kabir in good health, sound and and absolute peace and tranquility.
