President General, Agbekoya Worldwide, Chief Kamorudeen Okikiola has called for the unconditional release of Chief Sunday Adeyemo (popularly called Sunday Igboho), who is currently under house arrest in Cotonou, Benin Republic.
Speaking during a peaceful rally on “State of the Nation” held in Osogbo on Thursday, he said they will use magical power to free the detained Yoruba nation agitator, if the government failed to set him free.
His words: “Sunday Igboho is not a criminal and we know he is being held illegally, Benin Republic government has stopped taking him to court.
“We demand that he should be released through legal means, if they refuse, we will use our magical power to get him out of the prison.
” I repeat, we Agbekoya, will get him out of Benin Republic detention and bring him back home.”
Okikiola, who said they embarked on the rally to press home their demands as well as show their grievances to President Muhammad Buhari, the Federal Government, South West governors and politicians, called for a reversal to the 1960 constitution or restructure the country before the 2023 general elections.
The group also say no to removal of fuel subsidy and proposed increase in price of petrol.
