A candidate aspiring to represent Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mrs Tolulope Sadipe has vowed to provide quality representation to her constituents if elected in 2019.
She made the vow during her official campaign flag-off, held at the Olomi market, where top echelon of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state were in attendance.
While declaring her intention known, Mrs Sadipe noted that she was determined to positively impact on the lives of the people of her constituency.
According to her: “I am in the race to rebuild my constituency. So it is my aim to help change the face of my people. My House of Representatives ambition is for my people who have the capacity and vision.
“I assure them of purposeful representation in the Green Chamber if given the electoral mandate to represent their collective interest in 2019.”
Sadipe also promised to attract quality and people-oriented projects to the constituency to enhance the socio-economic and political life of the people in Oluyole.
She noted that the collective interest and well-being of the people in the area would form the nucleus of her representation, noting that she would never betray the confidence reposed in her by the electorate if given the opportunity to serve them.
“I want to serve my people, to give them direction and build a solid political mind-set through a quality law making so that they can stand on their feet.
“My people suffer because no one with true intention of changing their misfortune has been at the helm of affairs in the House of Representstives to represent them. I want to lead my people to the path of progress, development and inculcate in them true zeal of patriotism. I will teach my people how to fish, make wine and merry in place of political rascality,” she vowed.
Responding to question if the people of her constituency would give her their mandate in forthcoming election, Sadipe hinted that he was confident because she had worked and planned her political activities with the people.
“I believe in going to the grassroots and there was never a time that my people have not shown me love judging from my proven humanitarian attachment to them. I am a woman of the people with heart for service.
“APC is the only political party in the country as of today that is stable, that has a guiding manifesto and their internal democracy is unbeatable.
“I have demonstrated my sincere love to the people of my constituency at a lager extent through my patriotic contributions towards the development of the area.
“Therefore, if our electorate are very sincere and honestly desire a true representation, they should not look elsewhere no matter the distraction,” she urged the gathering.
Sadipe, a Bachelor of Science degree graduate in Accounting and a Masters’ degree holder in International Business Management, has a strong philanthropic inclination which she fulfils through a charity fund she set up to financially assist orphans and other disadvantaged members of the society to ensure their health and education needs are provided for.
In January 2016, Mrs Sadipe was nominated as and currently the Special Adviser on Projects to Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State.
