All is now set for the smooth take-off of full activities of the Riders and Owners of Motorcycle Organisation (ROMO) in Ogun State.
The Chairman of ROMO, Alhaji Olushola Shotayo, popularly known as Sholebo who unveiled the full kits for officials of the union in Abeokuta on Tuesday, said ROMO as a union is set to commence the activities of collecting revenue from motorcycle riders on behalf of the government.
Sholebo and his executive members were sworn-in to manage the affairs of the new union
ROMO, a new transportation union for motorcycle riders in the State to protect the interest and fight for the rights of motorcycle riders in the State.
Sholebo while unveiling the union’s working kits, promised that the union would not take the government and the people of the State for granted.
He insisted that ROMO would be a good model for other transport unions in the State.
Sholebo also held a meeting with the members of the union, charging them to be law-abiding and be of good conduct while discharging their responsibilities.
He stressed that the newly created transport union would take care of the general interest of the people.
Sholebo vowed that the union would adopt professionalism while carrying out her duties in the State.
The Chairman expressed appreciation to the State Governor for his intervention in the transport organizations in the State.
