The Rotary Club of Egbe, District 9110 Nigeria, has installed its 18th President, Rotarian Taiwo Abiodun Lasisi.

Rotarian Lasisi who is also the Leader of the Legislative arm of Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area was Installed at the weekend at Idimu Multipurpose Hall with the Executive Chairman, Egbe-Idimu LCDA, Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo, the Lagos State House of Assembly Member, representing Alimosho Constituency 02, Hon. Kehinde Joseph, Chairman, PCRC Ikotun Police Station, Ademola Adeshina, Past Assistant District Governor (PAG) Rotn. Lanre Shoyinka, PAG Femi Adenekan among other dignitaries in attendance.

In his welcome address, Kunle Olowoopejo who was the Chairman of the occasion, congratulated the President and members of the club for a successful Installation, noting that Rotary Club across the globe has brought lots of development to their immediate communities, he therefore pledged to support the club achieve its target goal for the year 2020/2021 and beyond.

 

Delivery a lecture titled “LEADERSHIP; WHAT NECESSARY CHANGES ARE NEEDED IN YOUR COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION AND HOW DO YOU WANT TO LEAD THE PROCESS?” The Guest Speaker, Hon. Kehinde Joseph who was represented by his Head of Media & Strategic Communication, Comrade Olayiwola Jebba Hamilton stated that a leader is someone who does more than just lead people, saying that they have to be driven by the right motivation and make a positive impact on the people around them.

According to him “A leader is someone who can see how things can be improved and who rallies people to move toward that better vision. Leaders can work toward making their vision a reality while putting people first. Just being able to motivate people isn’t enough, leaders need to be empathetic and connect with people to be successful. Leaders don’t have to come from the same background or follow the same path. Future leaders will actually be more diverse, which brings variety of perspectives.”

“A leader is a person who influences a group of people towards that achievement of a goal. A leader by its meaning is one who goes first and leads by example, so that others are motivated to follow him.”
