An official of the Kwara State Zonal Office of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Olumide Solomon has emphasized the need for commercial drivers to be careful always while driving as well as keep obeying traffic regulations and Road Safety guidelines given the values attached to their lives and that of their beloved ones.
He said this while delivering a sensitization lecture organized by the Rotary Club of Ilorin GRA to mark the year 2020 Literacy and Basic Education month.
The sensitization lecture, which was organized for commercial drivers at Offa Garage Ilorin, offered ample opportunities to the resource person to explain in details the way and manners professional drivers are expected to conduct themselves while on the road as it is been done in other civilized climes.
Solomon urged drivers to avoid some dangerous driving manners such as overspending, overloading, drinking of alcohol before, during and after driving, adding that going for regular medical check-ups to ascertain their true state of health is also very helpful.
