Chairman Parliamentary Caucus in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Segun Ajanaku has admonished politicians to be good ambassadors of people they represent in office in order to justify the confidence repose in them.
Hon. Ajanaku gave the admonition in Ibadan while speaking on quality representation in politics and governance.
According to him, a good ambassador is expected deliver to his people or constituency as a way of giving back to them dividends of demoracy.
Hon. Ajanaku made the point in an interview with Western Post News while speaking on his stewardship and quality representation to people of his constituency in Ibadan South-West 2.
Hon. Ajanaku said he would continue to improve on lives of his people through prompt provision of dividends of democracy.
“I am glad with the success of the Education Trust Fund bill which God helped me to achieve, it gladdens my heart. I have other Bills like Responsibility of Corporate Social Private Companies and others. I am a member of other committees which include Health, Local Government, Education, Land and Housing and so on, in all these committees I have done well.”
The Lawmaker who is seeking to return the third time to the Assembly urged the people of Ibadan south west 2 to support him with their votes in order to enable him complement ongoing projects just as he assured them of more gains of democracy beyond 2019.
Hon. Ajanaku who refuted the reports that his closeness with Governor Abiola Ajimobi earned him the third term ticket said hard work, good relationship with his people and God Almighty was responsible for the development.
“I am very accessible to my people, I facilitated the rehabilitation of roads in areas like WEMA in Apata Oluyole, NTC to Joyce B linking Ring Road, Abalamu- Apata to Kuola to Alexandra, College cresent, Anfani and others. I have three health programmes like Roll Away Malaria with comprehensive test and treatment, Free eye test with treatment and provision of drugs and glasses. 60 people in a month get five thousand each as support from my empowerment scheme.”
Hon. Ajanaku expressed confidence that his laudable achievements would speak for him and return him to office come 2019.
He promised to work in line with the APC programme in the next administration in the State.
