The Senate on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of Service Chiefs after about five hours closed door screening.
The Senators went into the session around 11.20am and the Service Chiefs left the chamber around 4.pm.
President Buhari had on July 13th appointed Major-General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin as Chief of Defence, Major-General Tukur Yusuf Buratai as Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas as Chief of Naval Staff and Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar as Chief of Air Staff.
Their appointments were in acting capacities until this confirmation confirmation of the Senate.
