Barely a day after adjourning plenary session in honour of late Senator Bayo Osinowo, a delegation of the Senate was in Lagos on Friday to commiserate with the All Progressives Congress National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu over the passing of Osinowo.
Senator Osinowo, popularly called Pepperito, represented Lagos East Senatorial District after spending four terms in the Lagos State House of Assembly. He died on Monday June 15. He was a close ally and associate of Asiwaju Tinubu.
The Senate delegation to Asiwaju Tinubu was led by Senate Majority Leader, Senator Abdullahi Yahaya.
The delegation had earlier visited the family of the late Senator and Governor Sanwo-Olu to condone them.
In the delegation were Deputy Majority Leader, Senator Robert Borrofice-Ajayi, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele from Ekiti State, Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe from Kwara and Senator Tolu Odebiyi from Ogun.
Others were Senator Sandy Onoh from Cross River and Senator Adeola Yahyi from Ogun.
They urged Asiwaju Tinubu to take heart and take solace in the fact that the late Senator Osinowo lived a good and pious life and left behind indelible footprints.
