“I have appointed Senator Isa Galadu as my Chief of Staff and also Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu as Special Adviser on Media. Please note the appointments take effect immediately,” he posted on Facebook.
Yusuph Olaniyonu is a former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Governor Ibikunle Amosun administration in Ogun State while Galadu represented Kebbi North Senatorial District in the 7th National Assembly.
Earlier in the day, Saraki disclosed that arrangements had been concluded for the setting up of an ad- hoc Committee that would reappraise the structure of the National Assembly budget.
In his welcome address at the resumed plenary by the Senators from their two-week break, Senate President Saraki urged all senators to run a more transparent National Assembly to aviod what he termed ‘attendant misinformation the stories could bring’.
He, however, stressed that the adhoc Committee to look at the structure of the National Assembly would ensure that the Senate becomes more open as well as put in place measures that will ensure that the budget is in line with economic realities.
