The National Publicity Secretary of the Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dayo Adeyeye, has alleged that Senator Ali Modu Sheriff was contracted by the governing All Progressives Congress to destabilise the PDP.
Speaking in an interview programme on Channels Television, Adeyeye said Sheriff had no court order to allow him access to the PDP secretariat. He said the order by the Lagos High Court is to the effect that the election of chairman, secretary and National Auditor should not be conducted at the Port Harcourt Convention.
True to that order, there was election of any sort in Port Harcourt.
“We are not in contention with Sheriff. We are men of integrity appointed to reorganise the party. We were appointed by the National Convention,” he said.
The statement signed by Prince Dayo Adeyeye accused Sheriff of holding nocturnal meeting with APC where plot to derail Edo chances of the PDP was hatched .
