His Royal Majesty Ona Pst, Oba Kehinde Olu and paramount ruler of Ilaro has urged the governorship candidate of Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Ogun State, Hon. AbdulKabir Akinlade to settle with Ogun State governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun and withdraw his case at the supreme court.
He also asked him to join hands with governor for the progress of the state.
The monarch made this known on Saturday at the grand finale of 2019 Oronna Ilaro festival day held at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion, empire field, Ilaro, Ogun State.
According to him, ”to my brother hon. Akinlade who contested in last election with the Excellency prince Dapo Abiodun.
“I want to say that it is all sense of responsibility that you are a pride of this land and I want to beg and implore you on behalf of the good people of Yewa land whom you represent that we don’t need any appeal at the supreme court. Go and withdraw your case at the Supreme court.”
He, therefore, advised him to join hands with Dapo Abiodun so as to move the Ogun state forward.
According to the monarch, nobody should politicised Oronna Ilaro festival. It is not a political platform.
“I am not a politician and I will never be, but be a father of all political parties in the state.
“I want to Abiodun and Akinlade to see themselves as brothers and not enemies,” he concluded.
