An Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ogun State chapter has commended the state government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun for suspending the Commissioner for the environment over the allegation of sexual harassment of Miss Adesola Melojuekun.
IPAC also called for an immediate meeting between the equity adviser, the commissioner for women affairs, and the judicial service commission to discuss extensively over the recent allegation.
This was disclosed at its inaugural meeting for the year 2021 held in Abeokuta the state capital.
To this end, the chairman of the IPAC in the State, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi called on the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Edward Ajogun to watch closely whether the victim’s parent recanted or not saying that investigation must be conducted on the issue.
He added that if the DPO tries to sweep the matter under the carpet or subvert the ongoing investigation, calling on the CP Ajogun Awolowo to send him to the disciplinary committee for investigation over compromising.
Arabambi also condemned the incessant killings of the youth and indigene of Ogun State especially Yewa axis by the men of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in the Western part of Ogun State which is a border town.
He said that it’s becoming unbearable as it’s an affront on the Governor of Ogun State as a chief security officer.
Comrade Arabambi also called for the immediate sack of Comptroller General or probably go back to his Northern State and redeployment of all members of the Ayetoro command as we have good information that they were been used to cause unrest to achieve the sinister motive of causing and precipitating the declaration of a state of emergency to change Civil Governance.
