Head coach of the national U-23 team, the Dream Team, Samson Siasia said work to build a formidable squad was still going on, assuring that the team would be ready very soon.
The former Super Eagles gaffer was appointed to tinker the team ahead of the qualifiers for both the All Africa Games and the 2016 Olympics.
So far, a number of players, majorly from the domestic leagues have been involved in battleW for places in the final squad.
However, the ex Flying Eagles sweat merchant who side was recently engaged in a double header friendly match against Tunisia in Tunis as well as the Super 6 pre-season tourney held in Abuja, disclosed the squad would be ready after the qualifying matches ahead of the team.
The Dream Team begins their assignment officially with an All Africa Games qualifier first leg tie away to Gabon later this month.
‘’For now, the priority is to present a good team that will tackle Gabon in both legs of the qualifiers.
‘’Hopefully, by the time we are able to scale through, the real team for the All Africa Games and the Olympics would be ready,’’ said the ex international.
