Stop Politics Of Bitterness, Professor Babalola Cries Out

Playing politics in a  tribalistic way is an attempt to throw our country into fratricidal butchery and civil war.

This is the opinion of an Eminent Peace Ambassador, Honorary Member of the World Dialogue Council and National Leader of Peace, Dialogues and Mediation Team in Nigeria, Amb.Prof.Olumuyiwa Babalola.

He made this known during his reactions to the publication of Chief Femi Fani – Kayode, former Minister of Aviation who visited Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello and APC National Chairman, Mai Buni of Yobe State in the interest of National Peace.

Professor Olumuyiwa eulogized the efforts made by Chief Femi Fani Kayode to singlehandedly stood up and matched towards national peacebuilding despite the political party differences which some people termed as irrelevant to sit with political opponents and discuss issues that will foster peace of our country.

He further stressed that he and his team have also met some leaders of political parties and monarchs as parts of our commitments towards assisting the federal government in necessary dialogue intervention and mediation that would further foster peace in troubled areas across the country just to build bridges, join hands across political divides and regional lines to save Nigeria from drifting into civil war and further stated that this is the crucial time we must set all our political differences aside, come together as one and build bridges of peace.

Also said that “political differences should not affect National peace”.

Recently, Prof.Olumuyiwa also visited the National Secretariats of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Congress (APC) where he dropped a peace address and eulogized the efforts made by President Muhammadu Buhari in leading the country.

Seyi Makinde and within the party structure.

Among also visited are the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba (Dr.) Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunluso, Niger Delta Monarch HRM, The Esuku II of Tuomo Kingdom, Kevwe Modupe who is the Chairman TSL, a prominent Television Station and leadership of Hunter Group of Nigeria for being the instruments of peace in their towns and various communities.

Amb. Prof. Olumuyiwa praised the efforts of the Chairman of Governors Forum, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, in leading the forum well.
