From Temitope Adedeji in Akure A matron in the employment of Rubber Estate Nigeria Limited, a company managing over seventeen thousand hectares of rubber plantation in Nigeria, Mrs Eralkhuemen Unulkiere was kidnapped twelve days ago by unknown gunmen in Araromi Obu,, in Odigbo local government area of Ondo state. WESTERN POST learnt that the kidnappers who have now contacted the management of the company and her family are demanding for a ransom of N 35m to secure her release. Mrs Eralkuemen said to be one of the old staff of the company who was kidnapped on her way to church on Sunday October 18, 2015 along Alaye- Araromi road. The victim, who has been in captivity for twelve days, hails from Edo state and is said to be the only matron in the company’s clinic. Confirming the abduction to WP the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Eric Hocepied, said the abductors were demanding for N35 million, adding that, the rising cases of kidnap is becoming worrisome. Mr Hocepied, a Belgian who says Nigeria is like home to him said anybody could be kidnapped in Nigeria. He said all efforts were being put in place to secure her release.
