Tension in Osun as Unknown Gunmen Kill Family of Six

The residents at Wasimi village in Irewole Local Government area of Osun State were thrown into fear following the killing of six herders by unknown gunmen on Sunday morning.

Consequent upon this, the State Police Command has commenced manhunt for the attackers.

It was gathered that the gunmen opened fire on the six herders who were a member of the same family.

Confirming the killing of the herders, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola, said the State Commissioner of Police, Wale Olokode, and some detectives have moved to the village to fish out the perpetrators.

Also, the State Coordinator of Oodua Peoples Congress, Prince Deji Aladesawe, said that members of OPC and hunters have joined the police in search of the criminals that perpetrated the dastardly act.
