Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) has disclosed that three petrol tankers, one tipper, and one gas truck got burnt at Kara Bridge along Lagos/Ibadan Expressway over reckless driving.

TRACE Corps Public Relations Officer, CDR. Babatunde Akinbiyi, made this known while speaking with pressmen in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Sunday.

Akinbiyi explained that the multiple accidents involving four vehicles, three tankers, one tipper truck and one gas truck happened on Kara Bridge by Berger, outbound Lagos, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway by 0330hrs on Sunday.

He said this unfortunate development caused a heavy traffic challenge along the Lagos-Ibadan traffic corridor, especially outbound Lagos.

In view of this, motorists presently moving outbound Lagos (out of Lagos) are advised to seek alternative routes depending on their location, while those already stuck in traffic should please exercise patience.

He said TRACE, FRSC, Police and Firefighters from Ogun and Lagos States were working round the clock to ease the traffic logjam in order to normalise traffic.
