The Minister for Interior, Mr. Rauf Aregebesola on Thursday met with Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola and former National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC). Chief Bisi Akande.
The trio including the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, held a closed-door meeting in Ila Oragun, Osun State, the country home of Chief Bisi Akande.
The meeting, which lasted for about 3hours ended at exactly 4:00pm.
There were speculations that Asiwaju Tinubu and Chief Akande organized the meeting to broker peace between Oyetola and his predecessor, Aregbesola
But Aregbesola in a statement on his official social media handle said he arrived Osun with his entourage from the Ministry of Interior to begin Stakeholders’ Engagement meeting with different stakeholders in the state as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Aregbesola disclosed in the tweet that “our entourage paid a courtesy visit to our leader and father , Baba Bisi Akande, alongside Governor of the @ StateofOsun , Alhaji Gboyega.”
He said that Chief Akande advised them on #EndSARS, insecurity amongst other issues.
