A few months ago, popular Yoruba actress, Toyin Aimakhu, played a major role in campaigning for the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan and his party, PDP, using her social media platform.
At the GEJ Meets 5000 Youth event, which took place on March 1st, before the presidential election, while speaking, the actress referred to Jonathan as “Daddy” more than once and also said she could die for PDP.
After Jonathan lost to General Muhammadu Buhari at the March 28th presidential poll, she took to her social media, saying she remained President Jonathan’s diehard supporter despite his defeat.
But just a few weeks later, she seemed to have moved on, forgetting she made any “loyal statement” to the president.
In a brief interview with Encomium when asked about her earlier statement that she was addicted to GEJ and his PDP, she responded thus:
Please, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t even know anything about it, at all. What’s more important to me at the moment is my new movie, Iya Ibadan. Every other thing I don’t know anything.
