Traders at the popular Iloro and Shasha markets were seen on Tuesday displaying their goods and services despite the market closure by the Ondo State government on Monday.
Some of the traders who spoke with Western Post said, there is no way they could survive if the order is completely obeyed.
Mrs. Ajayi Kolawole, said, “the government would pay salaries but nobody will pay traders any money to feed their own family.”
Residents of Akure, the state capital stormed Shasha market along Ado /Owo expressway to buy and sell despite governor government orders closing all markets in the state.
The traders requested of government to provided a kind of palliative to people so as to ease pressure from Coronavirus.
