According to him, the gesture has no political coloration, adding that it was just his own way of giving back to the society.

He said, “It was my own way of giving back to the society and my little support for the present administration in Kwara State under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, rather than spending money on frivolous things.”

He implores other well-meaning Kwarans and residents of the state to devote their resources to impacting positively on the less privileged in the society.

“It is obvious that government cannot do it all alone hence it behoves on us as individuals, groups, NGOs and Corporate organisations to support this administration in making life more meaningful for every resident of the state.

“If we think first of what we can do for our community and not what we stand to benefit, the society will be better for all,” he said.

He assured the beneficiaries of continuous kind gesture depending on available resources.

Afolayan disclosed that as part of the effort to impact positively on the less privileged in the society,he had floated a Non-Govermental Organisation called Oloba Maroof Afolayan lnitiative, the Foundation he said would among other services provide employment and empowerment opportunities to

the teeming youths and women especially widows, as well as providing education intervention in the area of scholarship to indigenous learners and provision of teaching and learning aids.

In their separate reaction, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development Bisola Ahmed and Commissioner for Social Development Mrs Deborah Aremu commended the kind gesture of Traditional Ruler and urged other well meaning Kwarans to emulate the act.
