Some rampaging residents in Osun state have embarked on a looting spree, burgling Government and private warehouses, carting away food items and other valuables.
The looting spree which started on Friday in Ede continued on Saturday as some rampaging youths stormed a private firm in Osogbo, TUNS farm one of the factories owned by an Osogbo born business mogul and renowned philanthropist, Chief Tunde Badmus and carted away some food items therein.
It was gathered that some residents of the towns have taken advantage by joining the hoodlums to cart away goods including flour meant for production of bread, butter and carton of biscuit.
Similarly, these residents besieged Ayegbaju International market, Osogbo and looted wares belonging to citizens.
They broke into traders’ shops and removed goods and other valuables.
It was further gathered that scores of youths same Saturday morning attacked the Constituency office of the Honourable representing Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu/Osogbo Federal Constituency, Olubukola Oyewo and carted away valuables.
The youths took items such as fridge, fans, interior decoration, electronic gadgets among others.
Also, the Leventis Foundation Nigeria Agricultural Training Schools located in Ilesa, Osun State was attacked by hoodlums.
The hoodlums were said to have broken into the premises and stole from the poultry farm.
