Two High Court staff have been dragged before an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo over alleged stealing of typing sheets.
The defendants, Adedoyin Adebowale (46) and Sulaiman Tajudeen (46) were said to have committed the offence on November 20, 2020 at High court premises, Oke-fia Osogbo.
The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Adeoye Kayode alleged that the defendants did conspire among themselves and stole six packs of Typing Sheets valued N30,000 property of Osun State Judicary.
Adeoye said that the offence committed by the accused contravened section 516 and 383 punishable under section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol ll Law of Osun state 2002.
The defendants who were facing two count charges of conspiracy and stealing pleaded not guilty to the allegations preferred against them.
Defence Counsel, Taiwo Awokunle made an oral application for the bail of the defendants in most liberal term saying that they will never jump bail being staff of state judicary and that they will provide reliable sureties if granted bail.
Presiding Magistrate, Mrs Adijat Oloyade granted bail to the defendants in sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She thereby adjourned the case till January 7, 2021 for hearing.
