The United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNESC) has appointed Prof. Muyiwa Babalola as the UNESC Special Advisor on Community Peace and Development to the African President, Prof. Nathan Tor Luga in Nigeria
He was appointed because of his total commitment and consultation to the National Peace, Unity and his Humanity missions.
The newly appointed adviser visited the Nigerian Chairman of UNESC, Ambassador Dr. Blessing Ngozi immediately after he received the appointment and heard some developmental and beneficial discussions with her.
The UNESC Special Advisor further said that he is fully ready to use his new office to achieve the vision 2030 of UNESC which includes eradication of poverty, education and more.
He also promised to work closely with the Federal Government Ministries, Safety and Security Agencies and Other Parastatas.
He also thanked for the appointment at this crucial period of lack of peaceful coexistence in Nigeria and advocated for the Government, Civil, Societies, Individual and relevant Stakeholders support in Nigeria.
