The former chief press secretary to the one time Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Mr. David Ehimoni, has been kidnapped by some gunmen.
It was learnt that Mr Ehimoni was abducted yesterday on his way to Ikare Akoko in Ondo State to pick his children from school for their Mid-term break.
Sources hinted that after being kidnapped, Ehimoni was taken to an unknown destination by nhis abductors who later demanded for forty million naira N40m.
The source said,“several hours after the abduction , the kidnappers contacted the family of the former chief press secretary to Clarence Olafemi and demanded N40m as ransom, saying they would not release him if the money was not paid.”
The Ondo state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr . Femi Joseph, is yet to confirm the incident, as he wasn’t picking his call as at the time of filing this report.
