The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has set aside a ruling of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Jabi suspending the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, from performing his duties as chairman.
The court’s panel headed by Justice Idris, which eventually commenced sitting by 4 pm on Monday, in a unanimous decision agreed with the appellant that the suspension was unlawful.
With the latest ruling vacating the FCT High court order, Oshiomhole remains the authentic and bonafide National Chairman of the party.
The case is adjourned till Friday, March 20, 2020.
The court’s ruling came on the heel of the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to call for the postponement of a National Executive Committee meeting of the party convene by the Deputy Secretary of the party, Victor Giadom, earlier scheduled for tomorrow.
Giadom was acting the script of some of the party’s governors moving for the ouster of Comrade Oshiomhole.
Western Post had earlier today reported that the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos had adjourned indefinitely the appeal Oshiomhole filed against his suspension as the party’s chairman.
