The wife of Ondo state governor, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu has been commended for her humanitarian service to the young and talented girls in the state.
This assertion was made on Saturday during a Zoom program tagged “An Evening With Bemore Girls” an initiative of the first lady in training and rẹ-training of young and talented girls in crafting, that could be useful to them.
The initiative is targeted at bringing out the best in the young girls not only in the state but across the globe for the betterment of the dear society at large.
One of the beneficiaries of the initiative, who could not hide her joy during the zoom meeting, Prisca Ojukwu appreciated Mrs. Akeredolu for giving her the opportunity, stating that the initiative has enhanced her artistic skills to perfectly draw and make a portrait of anyone she wishes.
Another beneficiary, Oluwaseun from Okitipupa area of Ondo state, said she can make nose masks in large numbers, among other things.
Christiana Madu who also benefitted from the training said she has learnt and put into use how to turn waste into wealth through what she also gained as a member of the initiative.
Responding as a parent during the meeting, Mrs. Elizabeth Akpan, said the program is nothing but a University of Life where many things are taught, learn, and achieved for the future which has taken the girls out of the country on technovation competition abroad.
In her response, Mrs. Akeredolu urged the girls to make use with all they have learnt mostly during this period of lockdown, saying time has come for them to effect a positive change at their respective society.
A medical expert, Dr. Famokun said Mrs. Akeredolu has changed the lives of so many young girls for better on the issue of BEMORE.
She urged the girls to always maintain a neat appearance and do everything possible to stop the spread of covid-19 for their safety and others.
