Wizkid Honours Police Invitation over Linda Ikeji’s Accusation

Superstar Wizkid has finally honoured the invitation of the Lagos State Police Command which was issued days ago when he was reported by Linda Ikeji to have threatened to unleash violence on her.

After the meeting with the Commissioner of Police, both Wizkid and the Lagos police boss, Mr Fatai Owoseni, posed for a selfie, which the musician shared on his Instagram Page with the caption, “Police is ur friend! #youngPablo!!“.   wizkid finally honours police invitation on linda ikeji's accusation

Linda Ikeji and Wizkid have been having hot exchanges between them for sometimes now.

According to Linda Ikeji, in a statement taken from a Vanguard, she reported the musician to send a message to all young men:

“I reported this case to the authorities because I want our young men to know this is not okay. You should not raise your hands on a woman. You shouldn’t even threaten to raise your hands on a woman. Wizkid wrote that he would send his 16 year old cousin to beat the shit out of me. Letting Wizkid get away with it is basically telling our young men that this is okay…and it’s not!”

Meanwhile, some have been raising issues as to whether it is appropriate for the police chief to be taking a selfie with the celebrity, since he was not invited for a social visit, but for a serious matter.

It should also be recalled that the invitation was issued 2 days ago, and Wizkid initially snubbed it.

Do you think the selfie suggests that the police handling the case could be biased? Is this how Lagos police officers normally take selfies with other people that they invite for questioning?
