Gboyega Oyetola Campaing Organization has alleged that the former Secretary to the state government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti who is now a governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) has lied that the present administration headed by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola did not do anything to contribute to the development of Iwo area in Osun State.

Reacting to a Radio program which featured Alhaji Adeoti where he alleged that the government failed to rehabilitate Iwo/Osogbo road, the Director General of the Campaign organization, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa said that the former SSG did not tell the people the contributions of Aregbesola’s administration to the development of Iwo.
“Interestingly Alhaji Adeoti in his assertion is being clever by half acknowledged the exploit of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola with whom he worked to create the good legacies for more than seven years before he jumped the ship failed to acknowledge dedicated thirty kilometers of township roads, modern school infrastructure, security, functional health and ambulance services latched on the contentious Iwo-Osogbo road which was unattended to by the defunct PDP Federal Government but enjoyed intervention of Aregbesola government and were it not paucity of funds the contract has already being awarded.”
He berated Alhaji Moshood Adeoti on issues and activities that preceded the governorship primary election of All Progressives Congress recently held in the state.
“The Campaign Organization wishes to state that were it not that the flag bearer of All Progressives Congress was part of the open and competitive process, the content of the radio interview did not produce news that has changed the narrative of un-sportsmanship behavior exhibit by the onetime party chairman in the course of the primary election.
“The former SSG has though succeeded in contradicting himself by acknowledging success already recorded by the government in the course of the radio program, the claim that he is popular within the party came to naught by running away from direct primary which would have allowed all members to make a free choice without being represented.
“The Organization strongly wishes to contend that the process of picking candidate and flag bearers of the All Progressives Congress is well spelt out in the party’s constitution, thus these becomes incredible that the self acclaimed man-to beat abandoned the ship at deep sea.
“One would have imagined the state of the mind of Alhaji Adeoti while the contest for the party’s ticket was on so much that he had to, on a radio station discredit and malign credible party leaders including Dr. Peter Babalola, Dr. Ismail Saka-Layoonu, a senior silk, Mr Gboyega Alabi and Rt Honourable Najeem Salaam as being complacent and conspirators against their individual selves in the race to win the ticket.
“Unfortunately, the tenure of another candidate from the West Senatorial District Alhaji Fatai Akinbade had an opportunity to work on the road but diverted the repair to his home town, Ogbaagba as against the main road that could have eased the problems of transportation of the mass majority of the people.”
The campaign organization also took an exception to Alhaji Adeoti’s commendation especially on the need to consolidate on the legacies of Aregbesola only to turn round empty on what specifically he would do differently if he ever accidentally seizes power.
“Though not surprised by the public exhibition of incompetence by Alhaji Moshood Adeoti against himself, he was not forthcoming about how he deliberately lobbied all figures both in Lagos and Osun including retired military generals to be appointed the SSG even when the party chairmanship was lucrative and more rewarding to identify party members who had worked assiduously to ensure the victory for Ogbeni Aregbesola at the poll.”
