Former Lagos State governor Babatunde Raji Fashola is suave and cerebral. The Senior Advocate of Nigeria is getting cozy with President Muhammadu Buhari by the day. He left tongues wagging in some quarters when he was found on the delegation of President Buhari to the just-ended G7 meeting in Germany to which the president was invited. On the sidelines of the meeting, Buhari and Fashola were said to be inseparable. He had the ears of the president. Now, President Buhari who ‘belongs to everybody and belongs to nobody’ is now said to be considering the former Lagos governor for a prime appointment, whether Fashola’s political godfather, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, likes it or not. Fashola is being touted as a possible Chief of Staff to Buhari or may bag a top ministerial appointment.
