…Condoles with deceased friend’s family

A bosom friend and former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adigun Ahmed, has said the death of a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Temitope Olatoye, popularly known as ‘Sugar’ still remains a shock and surprise to him, adding that he could not still come to terms with his unfortunate departure.

Olatoye, who represents Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency of Oyo State, was shot in the eye by hoodlums during the governorship election on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Ibadan.

Hon. Ahmed, popularly known as ‘Murphy’ in a condolence letter he signed and made available to newsmen described the killing as wicked, inhumane and barbaric.

He described the slain lawmaker as a committed and hardworking patriot who committed his life to the service of humanity and community.

“The news of his unfortunate death in the hands of unknown gunmen is still a shock to me. It saddened my heart to receive such an unfortunate news about the murder of my good brother and a friend.

“The murder of Hon. ‘Sugar’ is primitive, wicked, inhumane, barbaric and highly condemnable.”

“I want to use this medium to pray to God to give the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and for his reposed soul to rest in peace.
