Prof. Babajide Owoeye, the Proprietor of Lead City University in Ibadan, is an extremely unassuming man. The birthday celebration was modest but impressive. He was marking 60th year Diamond birthday. Prof. was the birthday boy, and as such the cynosure of all eyes at the occasion, but he was carrying himself as if trying to deflect the attention focused on him. The dignitaries at the birthday celebration held at the Conference Centre of his imposing university, however, would not allow him. Friends, associates, relations and his university staff showered encomiums and gifts on him. Stand-up comedians, budding musicians and dancers and artists were all on hand to entertain guests at the occasion. After cutting the birthday cake, Prof. Owoeye and his delectable wife took to the dance floor while members of a young musical groups, friends, family members and relations danced round them. The duo of Prof. Owoeye and his wife were a pair to behold on the dance floor. They danced well into the night of Thursday, March 3, his birthday.
