Ogun State Govt Recruits 1,007 Workers

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Adedayo Adeneye, has made it know that Ogun State has recruited 1,007 workers into its civil service.

Adeneye said this in a statement released on Sunday that the government absorbed 803 officers following the 2016 Public Service Entrance Examination, while 204 others were employed through a recruitment exercise into the model schools in the state.

According to him, the recruits were given orientation at a two-day induction organised by the Ogun State Civil Service Commission which held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

At the induction, the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga, urged the new members of staff to contribute their quota to governance by adding value to the government programmes and policies.

Amosun, who described the Ogun State Civil Service as one of the best in the nation, admonished the new employees to imbibe good conduct and inculcate the positive values and virtues that the state’s civil service was known for.

The Chairman of the Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Susan Folarin, commended the steadfastness and unrelenting efforts of the governor at actualising the administration’s agenda in the area of employment generation.

“All these achievements and many more would not have been possible if the present administration, led by Senator Ibikunle Amosun, had not been steadfast in its pledge and unrelenting in its efforts at bringing the state to the Promise Land,” she added.
