Three persons have been confirmed dead in multiple fire incident involving six vehicles, which occurred in the early hours of today (Wednesday) on Kara Bridge towards Lagos end of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The fire occurred around 3.08 am this morning resulting in a serious gridlock.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire incident involves two tankers and one saloon car.
Meanwhile, South-west Coordinator of the National Emergency management Agency (NEMA), Alhaji Suleiman Yakubu, has urged motorists plying the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to exercise extreme patience and caution on the bridge or alternatively take Ikorodu route to avoid the gridlock around Kara Bridge..
Also, motorists heading for Alausa Secretariat in Lagos should seek alternative route as a trailer crashed on that road and spilled its PMS content.
NEMA officials and other emergency responders are working to prevent a fire outbreak from the fallen vehicle.
