Akure Under Fire As Ibrahim Replaces Jegede

Sequel to the replacement of Eyitayo Jegede’s name, to Jimoh lbrahim ‘s, by the Independent National electoral  Commission, the city of Akure, the state capital, is under security threat, as many supporters of Peoples Democratic Party were on roads making burn fires and stampede every business activities.

Police officers and men of the Nigerian Army are all on ground to fostall peace. As at the time of filling this report, the situation is still uncontrollable.

Jegede, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party from Markafi faction of the party,who has been having a legal battle with Chief Jimoh lbrahim of Sheriff faction over who is the authentic candidate of the party.

Meanwhile, a state high court in Akure, yesterday, restrained INEC, from removing Jegede’s name but which was upturned late yesterday night.
