The police boss gave the warning on Monday during his official assumption of duty at the Command Headquarters’ Eleyele’ in Ibadan.

He advised criminals to think twice and vacate the state adding that they will have no choice to flee by the time the command commences its operational strategies to flush them out of the state.

The police commissioner while urging officers and members of the command to be up and doing urged them to extend same support and cooperation given to the outgoing CP to him, just as he assured them of a friendly working relationship.

“I would not tolerate any act of indiscipline from any officer and member of the command. I also want you   to maintain high level of decorum and discipline  in the discharge of your duty.”

CP Enwonwu, while charging them to step up the tempo and standard on crimes reduction said it is imperative that they join hands to fight crimes to the barest minimum in the state.

Before his redeployment to Oyo State, the police boss was Commissioner of Police, Special Protection Unit (SPU), Force Headquarters, Abuja.

In his address, the outgoing commissioner of police, CP Shina Olukolu (psc)  thanked officers and members of the management of the command for the support and cooperation given to him during his service in the state.

“Everything that has a beginning must have an end, I thank the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu for giving us the platform to showcase our activities and what we are capable of doing.

“I also thank members of the press for their support and understanding. The new CP is my  friend, colleague, and classmate I urge you to extend the same support you gave me to him.”

CP Olukolu used the occasion to present a letter of commendation to ASP Adeyemo Ogunyemi for doing the police proud in Eruwa  at a height of a provocation which could have undermined the integrity of the police.

CP Olukolu was last week redeployed to FCID Annex, Lagos State.
